SGMC Digital Marketing Wins Multiple Awards | Local News

VALDOSTA – South Georgia Medical Center recently received multiple awards recognizing its digital marketing and communications efforts from the Healthcare Digital Marketing Awards and AVA Digital Awards.

SGMC received gold, HDMA’s highest recognition, in three categories: vaccine marketing, annual or community report and special video – longer than two minutes, hospital officials said in a statement. HDMA recognizes the best healthcare websites, digital content, electronic communications, mobile media and social media.

A national panel of industry experts reviewed nearly 1,000 applications; evaluate creativity, marketing execution, message impact, technology application and innovative content.

The AVA Digital Awards honored the system with the platinum award in the content marketing category for the electronic annual report and the gold award in the COVID-19 digital response category for its community vaccination campaign.

AVA Digital Awards is an international competition that recognizes the exceptional work of creative professionals involved in the conception, realization, design and production of media that are part of the evolution of digital communication. The AVA Digital Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals.

According to Bennett, COVID-19 has highlighted the importance of digital communication.

“With information changing rapidly throughout the pandemic, we simply focused on developing effective and accurate information that members of our community could understand and trust. We are thrilled to receive this industry validation at national level,” she said.
