Epic strengthens brand management with new appointment

Imre Dozsa has taken over the management of the Epic Malta brand. Her role will include a strong focus on brand narrative, content and building the emotional connection with customers.

The move signals Epic’s intention to take the brand to the next level, following the successful launch in 2020, in addition to changing the company’s model in the communications department, by partnering with MPS as a lead agency and Concept Stadium for website development.

Dozsca brings a wealth of experience to the table, having previously managed advertising for Vodafone Hungary, before taking over Liberty Global’s UPC branded campaigns for five markets in the Central European region. During this time, he was responsible for relaunching the brand in these countries.

He also spent a lot of time at tech start-ups aiMotive and NNG, where his job was to introduce the brands to new international markets and increase global brand awareness.

Commenting on his new role, Dozsa said, “Having a mix of experiences ranging from multinational telecommunications companies to smaller, nimble local start-ups has helped me adapt to the specific demands of a market. like Malta and to make the most of the resources at hand, while bringing in some good practice from abroad.

“Working on such important repositioning exercises with colleagues from sister companies such as Telenet in Belgium and Virgin Media in the UK has reshaped my thinking around customer centricity and the role of brands.”

He added, “I see great potential in Epic’s story and the team behind it. There is much to be discovered in the brand’s promise to deliver the best network and value experience to users in Malta, and to find a meaningful role in the daily lives of our customers.”
