Allen Media Group Appoints Matthew Lipson as Executive Vice President of Digital Marketing

Allen Media Group has hired Matthew Lipson to fill the new position of Executive Vice President of Marketing for Digital Platforms and Content. He will oversee marketing strategies, creative development, social media, paid media and optimization for all AMG digital TV networks, movies, content and digital delivery platforms including Sports.TV, theGrio , HBCU GO and Comedy.TV, as well as AMG’s digital distribution division for movies, Freestyle Digital Media. Lipson is based at AMG headquarters in Los Angeles.

Lipson most recently served as executive vice president, marketing and digital at 101 Studios and Sports Illustrated Studios, where he oversaw marketing and digital strategy for all film, television and audio releases. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Digital Marketing at Open Road Films and of NBC/Universal’s specialty films division, Focus Features.

Previously, Lipson was Vice President of Client Strategy at marketing and advertising agency Big Spaceship, where he led client strategy and engagement and oversaw marketing and digital campaigns for global brands including Chobani, BMW, Hewlett-Packard, SONOS and Crayola.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University.
