AEW in talks with new media company

AEW has been under the Warner Bros brand for three years, while on the Bleacher Report streaming app for pay-per-views. Now, the company is exploring new deals to deliver its content.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that AEW and DAZN, a leading sports streaming platform, have had discussions about becoming media partners. He explained that AEW and DAZN were talking about a deal for air shows in the UK, but a deal hasn’t been done yet.

DAZN has become the platform for major boxing events. The streaming service was involved in the wrestling business and had the rights to WWE in Japan. at one point

DAZN’s global presence is enough for AEW to capitalize. Whether or not the two parties can work together is something we will pay attention to if a deal is brought to fruition.

The company gained more than one million weekly viewers for “Dynamite” after the All Out pay-per-view. Momentum will grow as a new broadcast deal in America is seemingly on the horizon.
